Common questions

A site looks broken or won't load properly.

Blocking ads sometimes breaks part of a page, and automatic dark mode can make a page hard to read. Email us the site's address and what went wrong. We fix most reports in the next list update, which reaches the app without an App Store update.

How does the free trial work?

You can use every feature free during the trial. Before it ends, the App Store will show you the price and ask you to confirm. Nothing is charged until you do.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments for apps on the App Store, so refunds go through Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I make Dovetail my default browser?

Not yet. Apple has to approve each browser before it can be set as the default. We're working on it, and we'll update this page when it's available.

Does Dovetail support Safari extensions?

No. Apple doesn't let other browsers load Safari extensions. Dovetail builds in the features people install extensions for most: ad blocking, tracker blocking and dark mode.

What data do you collect?

None. Your history, bookmarks and tabs stay on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
